As someone who plan travel experiences not only for clients, but in my family + friends circles, responsibilities are placed onto me the entire time.

It is important to stay organized, and these apps help prevent extra stress while traveling:

1. GOOGLE TRANSLATE

There will be language barriers whenever you travel internationally. Even if you're not traveling, this app is a personal favorite. The Google Translate app translates photos, speech, and text/handwriting. If you watch 90 Day Fiancé, you might've seen couples use it. Whether you need directions or want to start a conversation with someone who speaks another language, this app will do everything for you.

2. WHATSAPP

I'm sure by now everyone has heard of WhatsApp. This messaging app is perfect for international travel, especially when it saves you from upgrading your phone plan. During my Italy trip in 2014, I was introduced to WhatsApp to stay connected with my mom at home. You are able to send messages, make calls and video calls! Make sure your destination has Internet.

3. TRIPWHISTLE

The well-being of travelers is one of our highest priorities, so safety is key! Whether you're with a group or traveling solo, you need to download TripWhistle. The app provides local emergency police, fire, and ambulance phone numbers anywhere in the world. Wherever you are, it will quickly provide critical information to emergency respondents with in-app access to your street address and GPS coordinates.

Better safe than sorry!

4. PACKPOINT

Packing is one of the most challenging travel preparations. Many travelers have a hard time deciding on what to pack. PackPoint will organize what you need to pack based on length of travel, weather at your destination and any activities planned during your trip. You will never have to worry about overpacking—or not packing enough, again! (I will still be overpacking because that's just how I am.)
